John is the founding principal of rePlan and its sister firms, planningAlliance and regionalArchitects. John has more than 30 years’ experience managing the social dimensions of large-scale natural resource extraction projects. He has served as Project Director of many of rePlan’s most complex projects. John’s professional experience includes urban and rural planning, urban design, architectural and housing design, project and construction management, land tenure design and administration, municipal engineering design, local government management, housing finance and management, environmental analysis and planning, and community development programming. John has written and lectured extensively on housing and community development issues, and has developed and promoted a variety of innovative planning, administrative and financial approaches. John serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, the Ontario Association of Architects, and a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
