Anna Dunets Wills

BSc, M Eng
Municipal Engineer

Anna is a Senior Municipal Engineer with 27 years of international project experience. Anna has led a number of the firm’s most complicated resettlement and worker housing projects, and brings to her work an intimate familiarity with both the stakeholder engagement and technical workstreams required in successful community building. Her particular specialty is in the planning and design of community-based municipal infrastructure, including water, sanitation, road and drainage systems. Anna’s years in developing regions have convinced her that to be truly sustainable the design, construction and maintenance of community infrastructure must be based on local input, expertise and resources. In recent work with natural resource companies in Africa and Europe, Anna has been involved in the design of appropriate and sustainable infrastructure service levels for new communities, whether worker or resettlement communities. She has also managed strategies for such public-private systems. Anna received a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto (1976) and a Masters in Engineering (1989) from the University of Alberta. She has won three significant awards from engineering societies in recent years, and was inducted into the Engineering Hall of Distinction at the University of Toronto in 2013.
