Edwin is a Principal of the firm and the Regional Director for Latin America.  He has 25 years of experience working with resource and infrastructure development companies, international financial institutions, and governments across Latin America and in South East Asia.  His expertise and experience focuses on land acquisition and resettlement / livelihood restoration, multi-stakeholder dialogue processes, alternative dispute resolution, community engagement and development, indigenous peoples, land tenure, policy and law, and institutional strengthening. 

In recent years, Edwin has led the planning and implementation of a number of high-profile, complex land acquisition, resettlement and community development processes, including those at the Pueblo Viejo Project (Barrick, Dominican Republic) and Cobre Panama Project (Inmet / First Quantum, Panama). 

Edwin has several degrees in Law, an MA in Linguistics and a Doctorate in Jurisprudence, and speaks fluent Spanish (native), English and Portuguese.  He is based in Quito, Ecuador.
