Sara Sultan


Sara is an Anthropologist with a background in peace and conflict, and international development. She works directly with local communities, in Canada and internationally, towards improving social outcomes, particularly those related to projects in the mining and energy sectors. Sara specializes in survey design, data management, impact assessment, and participative and sustainable community development. With her strong research and statistical background, she is able to integrate economic, social and environmental data into analyses of the relationships between communities and other actors. She works with multiple stakeholders (communities, government, industry and NGOs), to achieve their respective objectives. International best practice informs the services she provides. Sara has lived and worked across Africa and Latin America, primarily in the DRC, Ghana and Senegal and in Bolivia and Peru. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
